Inspired by Seth Godin, I started daily blogging on Dec. 7, 2021. I originally planed to post to this blog daily but soon found out that was not sustainable. So I tweaked my goal to post every weekday.
Since Dec. 7, 2021, I did 18 posts. Missed 3 posts. Overall experience is positive. I read more, think more, and write more because of this. The key to post daily is loosely follow the guideline here.
Here are some misconceptions:
- “It won’t be fun.”: I was wrong. It is satisfying to put my thoughts into words that make sense.
- “It won’t be sustainable.”: It is not sustainable for me to post every day, but it is for me to post every weekday.
- “I don’t have time for that.”: Turns out I do.
- “I don’t have much to talk about.”: Actually the more I write, the more topics come to mind.
Here are the positive impacts:
- Since I read more, I found out that I actually like reading. I was just reading the boring books, books with over complicated sentence structure, and books that is highly recommended but not suitable for me.
- I overcame the perfectionism in writing.
- I started to reflect on myself more, and be more aware of my thoughts and inner voice.
- I found these wonderful blogs: Seth Godin, Mike Crittenden, and Rohan.
