Consumer Behavior Changes Caused by the COVID Pandemic

I was reflecting on how the COVID pandemic has changed the way I shop.

Here is the list:

• Shifted almost completely to online shopping. For example: grocery, household items, and tools.
• Hesitation to return unsatisfied goods. For example: a humidifier that leaves a puddle of water on the table.
• Brought forward purchase in anticipation of inflation, and supply shortage. For example: a nice set of chisels, a flat bottom spokeshave, and a small plow plane.
• Delayed purchasing of goods that need to be physically checked out for dimensions, and comfort level. For example: a couch, or a piece of furniture.
