• long pants to catch kicked up dirt and grime
• garden clog for easy cleaning
• no socks because they are bound to get soggy and muddy

For large flat surfaces such as patio, get a surface cleaner. It will do bulk of the work for you. It really saves a lot of time and energy. For areas that are extremely dirty, use a 15 degree tip or even narrower tip to finish the job left by the surface cleaner.
